  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour (atta)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1 cup of grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup of chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup of chopped capsicum
  • 1/4 cup of chopped green chillies
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped coriander
  • 1/4 cup of curds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and black pepper.

Now add the grated carrot, chopped onions, capsicum, green chillies, coriander, curds, sugar and oil. Mix everything together to form a batter.

Heat a non-stick pan and grease it with a little oil. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it evenly in a circular motion.

Cook the pancake for about two minutes on each side or until it turns golden brown in colour.

Remove the pancake from the pan and place it on a plate. Repeat the same process for the remaining batter.

Serve the pancakes hot with your favourite chutney or sauce.
