Instructions

To start making this delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake, you should preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan with butter and set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix until well combined. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Add the milk, vanilla extract, dates, walnuts, raisins, and cranberries and mix until everything is evenly combined.

Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

To make the toffee sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Let the sauce cool before serving.

To serve the cake, cut it into slices and top each slice with a generous drizzle of the toffee sauce. Enjoy!
