Ingredients
- 2 cups of peeled and shredded radish
- 1/2 cup of dried shrimp
- 1/4 cup of Chinese sausage, diced
- 1/4 cup of Chinese mushrooms, diced
- 1/4 cup of scallions, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of white pepper powder
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 2 cups of glutinous rice flour
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of tapioca starch
- 2 cups of water
Instructions
Start by preparing the radish. Peel the radish and then shred it using a cheese grater. Place the shredded radish in a bowl and add the dried shrimp, Chinese sausage, Chinese mushrooms, scallions, salt, sugar, and white pepper powder. Mix the ingredients together and then add the water and vegetable oil. Mix the ingredients until everything is well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix the glutinous rice flour, all-purpose flour, and tapioca starch. Slowly add the water while stirring. Keep stirring until the mixture forms a dough. Knead the dough for a few minutes and then divide it into two equal parts.
Roll out one part of the dough into a thin circle. Place the radish filling on top of the dough and spread it out evenly. Roll out the other part of the dough and place it on top of the radish filling. Press down firmly on the edges of the dough to seal the filling. Cut the dough into small pieces and then place them on a baking sheet.
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Bake the radish cake for about 30 minutes or until the top turns golden brown. Allow the radish cake to cool before serving.
