Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, vanilla, and buttermilk until combined. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
