Ingredients

  • 1 box of cake mix
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package of instant pudding mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 container of frosting
  • 1 bag of candy melts
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, vegetable oil and water. Use an electric mixer to mix until smooth. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Pour the cake batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

Once the cake has cooled, use a fork to crumble the cake into a large bowl. Add 1/2 cup of frosting and mix together until combined. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using your hands, roll the cake mixture into 1 inch balls and place them on the baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 30 minutes.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts according to the package instructions. Dip the lollipop sticks into the melted candy and then press into the cake balls. Place the cake pops back on the lined baking sheet and freeze for another 20 minutes. Remove the cake pops from the freezer.

Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, turning to coat evenly. Sprinkle with sprinkles and place back on the baking sheet. Allow the cake pops to set for about 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
