Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup water

  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 baking dish and set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter and water over medium heat. Once melted, stir in the sugar until it is combined. Remove the pan from the heat and let cool slightly.

In a large bowl, beat together the eggs and vanilla. Pour the cooled butter mixture into the egg mixture and stir to combine. Add the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
