  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 container of yellow frosting
  • 1 container of orange frosting
  • 1/4 cup of mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup of coconut flakes
  • 1/4 cup of yellow sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup of orange sprinkles

Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan. In a large bowl, mix together the yellow cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil and water. Beat on low speed for 2 minutes until the ingredients are blended. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.

Once the cake is cooled, it’s time to assemble the Pikachu cake. Place the cake onto a cake board or plate. Using a butter knife or cake spatula, spread the yellow frosting over the top and sides of the cake. To create the face of Pikachu, use a spoon to scoop out circles of the orange frosting, and place the circles onto the cake. Lastly, use the mini chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, pecans, coconut flakes, yellow sprinkles, and orange sprinkles to create the eyes, ears, and mouth of Pikachu.

Once the Pikachu face is complete, your cake is ready to serve! Cut into slices and enjoy.
